Branching (Skip Patterns):
Branching capabilities include simple complex and even nexted
branching. A simple branching wizard that is associated with each
question allows the respondent to branch (skip) from a selected
answer to another question.
Consider a simple example where the answer you choose will determine
the next set of questions.
Choosing Male will branch to a multiple choice question about
cars.
Choosing Female will branch to an open ended text question about
cosmetics.

Extraction, Looping and Text Piping:
In the following example, we demonstrate extraction and looping
capabilities.
Extraction builds new questions using only those answers selected
in a preceding multiple choice (Check All That Apply) question.
The successive questions that are tied to the original extraction
question will include only the answer options selected in the
multiple Choice question.
In the following sample survey, five search engines are identified
and those used in the previous six months are selected. The questions
that follow present only those answers selected in the previous
question.
The extraction question is followed by a Looping and Text Piping
example.
Looping is also based on a multiple choice (check all that apply)
question, but repeats a sequence of questions over and over, one
time for each of the items selected. For each time the loop occurs,
text associated with the answers just selected is piped to the
new question.
Text Piping is an advanced feature that permits the movement
from text from one question to another based on the response that
is selected. If an answer is selected, the specified text will
be "piped" to the question that is asked next.
